Shock and Ore

About and terms

Last updated 7 November 2026. By playing Shock and Ore at shockandore.com you agree to these terms. They're short and in plain English.

A work of fiction, not financial advice

Shock and Ore is a game. The companies, people, gold deposits, share prices and the SAO stock exchange are all made up. Any resemblance to real companies, people, places, projects or listed securities is coincidental. Geology, mining, finance and tax are deliberately simplified to make a game, so nothing in it is a guide to how those work in real life. Nothing in the game is financial, investment, tax or legal advice.
